How to join
Sign up through national DSA and select the Rio Grande Valley chapter. Dues are sliding-scale — pay what you can, and no one is turned away for lack of funds.
Our intro session for new and curious folks — what democratic socialism means, what our chapter is working on, and how to plug in. Offered virtually and in person, multiple times a month. You don’t have to be a member yet to attend.
After 101, we’ll add you to our WhatsApp and match you with a committee that fits your interests and capacity — whether that’s an hour a month or a night a week.
Committees
Committees are where the work happens. Each one meets regularly and welcomes new members — reach out through the WhatsApp or at any general meeting.

Welcoming new members and making sure no one falls through the cracks.
